Scott Hunsinger

Scott Hunsinger, proud son of Buffalo and captain of Conklin’s Tailgate Bar & Grill (CBnG), commands this legendary Bills Mafia gathering, lighting up Grass Lot West since 2004. With his iconic 1977 tailgate truck, Illegal Motion, Scott turns every home game into a wing-sizzling, snow-stomping celebration of Buffalo pride. Known for his humor, hospitality, and parking-lot prowess, he keeps grills hot, spirits high, and vibes immaculate through any weather or scoreboard. Scott doesn’t just host a tailgate — he hosts a Buffalo tradition.

Learn More About Our Tailgate

If you’re headed to a Buffalo Bills game and looking for a true Orchard Park tailgate experience, follow the music, the towering flagpole, and the scent of sizzling bologna sandwiches west of Lot 1. Nestled in the Route 20A Grass Lot, you’ll find Conklin’s Tailgate Bar & Grill — better known to Bills Mafia as CBnG — an iconic stop on any serious fan’s pregame pilgrimage.

The CBnG crew has been tailgating since 1989, but their legend was truly born in 2002 with the founding of their namesake tailgate and the launch of their signature tailgate vehicle, Illegal Motion, in 2004. This vintage 1977 bread truck, discovered by chance in Bergen, NY and bought for just $1,500, was transformed into a mobile marvel — complete with a custom bar, seating area, full sound system, and nostalgic 70s décor (yes, that Farrah Fawcett poster is still going strong). What began as a few buddies from Dansville, NY grilling before the game has evolved into one of the largest and most welcoming tailgates in Buffalo.

You’ll often find 100 to 300 fans gathering around Illegal Motion on a Sunday morning — Bills fans, out-of-towners, even opposing fans — all are welcome at CBnG. It’s a family-friendly, all-inclusive atmosphere where no one goes hungry and no one is a stranger for long. There’s no secret password, no VIP access. If you’re at the game, you’re invited.

At the heart of the CBnG tradition is the food — lots of it, and always evolving. Their signature dish, the “Aud Club” Fried Bologna Sandwich, is an ode to Buffalo nostalgia: thick-cut bologna, sizzling hot, topped with American cheese, grilled peppers and onions, and served on a soft roll. But the menu doesn’t stop there. From jerk chicken legs to breakfast burritos, every tailgate brings a new culinary surprise. Wash it down with a cold one from local favorites like Ellicottville Brewing, 3 Heads, OBS Cidery, or the always-classic Labatt Blue Light, and don’t leave without a round of the CBnG’s signature Illegal Motion Shot.

Gameday at CBnG is a sensory overload in the best way — music blaring from the truck’s custom sound system, Bills flags waving in the wind, laughter, chants, grills firing on all cylinders, and spontaneous renditions of the tailgate anthem “Eastbound and Down.” It’s part tailgate, part street party, part family reunion.

The CBnG crew — led by Scott “Scotty” Hunsinger, John “Pie” Schleyer, Peter “The Conk” Conklin, Jack Conklin, Bart, Peter “The Rock” Krog, Jeff “Foose” Tracy, Steve “Spider” Smyder, and Chris “Rambo” Ramsey — have poured their hearts, time, and epic grill skills into making this a staple of the Orchard Park tailgating scene. And the world has noticed. CBnG has been featured on Inside the NFL, CBS Morning Show, and even battled Chicago’s DaBus on Tailgate Warriors with Guy Fieri, showing America what Buffalo tailgating is all about.

Inducted into the Tailgating Hall of Fame on September 15, 2018, CBnG is a proud representative of Bills Mafia and a beacon of Buffalo hospitality. Whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth, CBnG is your game day home away from home. Just look for the big truck, the high flagpole, and the crowd of hungry, happy football fans. That’s where the party starts — and where the Buffalo tailgate tradition lives on.
