Member Bio:
The Packer Phan-atics tailgate party in Lot #1 of legendary Lambeau Field is actually a conglomeration of several tailgate groups. Scott Schwartz is the one person who brings everyone together for this nationwide tailgate family. Being a second generation season ticket holder, taillgater and Packer team stock owner (yes, the Packers are publicly owned) may have something to do with this.

Scott has tailgated in Lot #1 at Lambeau for 25 years. In the early days it was with Neigbor Dan, Mike Wertel, a card table and a Weber Smokey Joe. Now days it's a professional sound system, Custom Packer bar, a Weber Genesis grill that hooks up to the hitch and the 4 flags that help first timers find this destination tailgate.

The people who tailgate have changed over the years. Some of the tailgate family like Brian and Laura Watkins and Mike Walz from Sault St Marie Ontario may come 2 or 3 times a year but they have been coming for 15 to 20 years. Others like the Barrett Boys ( from New Mexico, Kentucky, Colorado & Texas) and the Eisele brothers from Illinois make their one yearly trip a tradition. Yet others come bearing food... Sue Thill LaBarre from Minnesota brings and deep frys up to 3 Turkys once a year to feed people she only sees once a year. Paul and Todd Parsons (Todd's from California) bring hundreds of fresh perch and bluegill fillets once a year to feed people they don't even know.

The most dedicated faction of this group is headed by Gary Platt from Wisconsin Rapids, he and Kathy Sacotte are one of the first vehicles in line. The next group is headed by Renee Kasieta from the Mosinee area with a table full of baked goods. Long time Phan-atics supporters Paul & Carol Radloff from Rice Lake Wisconsin and Ben Destarcke from Madison bring newbies in from their areas. Then there's Justin Sipla from Iowa City, Iowa. He has second hand season tickets and brings someone new from different places in the country to almost every game. Steve and Diane Hedrick from Lima, Ohio make the trip as often as they can get tickets and Steve makes sure our party is well documented in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel fan photos section. Parking lot favorites "The Tutu Girls" Alyshia Vandenbusch and Fran Chapa call this tailgate their game day home.

This year Steve "The Owner" Tate and "The Ultimate Packer Fan" Wayne Sargent who have always visited the Phan-atic tailgate have made it their home base and have introduced many opposing team fans to the magic of lot #1.
