Learn More About Our Tailgate

On game days in Inglewood, the Pink Lot outside SoFi Stadium turns blue and gold long before the gates open. By sunrise, the Mob Squad Booster Club—one of the most vibrant Rams tailgates in Los Angeles—is already lined up and ready to roll. Founded in 2021 by a close-knit group of eight friends, the Mob Squad has quickly become one of the most recognizable and welcoming fan crews in the NFL. Led by Tailgate Captains Alan “Blacksheep” Florez and Christy Acosta, their mission has always been simple: bring people together through football, friendship, and fun. Today, that mission fills ten parking spaces and brings together fans from across the league, all united under the Mob Squad’s signature canopies on Booster Club Row.

By 6 a.m., the vehicles start arriving, and within minutes, the setup is underway. Canopies go up, tables unfold, and the first round of ice hits the community beer bucket. As the morning progresses, a steady flow of food, laughter, and good-natured banter transforms the Pink Lot into a community gathering unlike any other. Whether it’s Barbas BBQ smoking brisket and pulled pork, or a potluck lineup of dishes from every corner of California, the Mob Squad’s spread is always top-tier. When the brisket’s ready, it’s served alongside Lizzette’s famous mac and cheese—a creamy, crowd-favorite staple that regulars look forward to every week.

But food is only part of the draw. The Mob Squad’s identity is built equally on energy and hospitality. Music sets the tone early, courtesy of DJ Doughboy, who spins live from Booster Club Row and keeps the energy flowing right up until kickoff. Fans dance, mingle, and take turns lining up for one of the group’s signature traditions: the Squad Skis. These long communal shot skis are a favorite at every tailgate, offering a toast to camaraderie and another Sunday spent doing what they love. Around the corner, the Leading Ladies Lounge provides a comfortable spot to relax—complete with inflatable sofas in Rams colors and a bit of disco flair overhead.

Inclusivity sits at the heart of the Mob Squad’s culture. While they are unwavering in their Rams pride, the group takes great care to make their tailgate a welcoming space for all fans, regardless of team affiliation. This spirit of fan unity is a point of pride, especially in Los Angeles—a city with deep football roots but a long gap between NFL eras. Many of the Mob Squad’s members grew up cheering for other teams before the Rams returned, and now, they celebrate that diversity as part of their identity. Visiting fans are always invited to share a plate, grab a drink, or take a shot with the crew. It’s not uncommon to see rival jerseys mingling with blue and gold, proving that the spirit of tailgating can bridge any fan divide.

When it comes to game-day style, the Mob Squad is known for going all out. Their setup often reflects the theme of the week—whether it’s Crucial Catch, Salute to Service, or a full-on Halloween or Día de los Muertos display. They bring creativity and energy to every game, and it’s all anchored by their unmistakable rally cry:

“Who are we? Mob Squad! Let’s goooooooo!”

It’s a chant that echoes through Booster Club Row and instantly signals that the Rams faithful have arrived.

The logistics of running a tailgate this large are no small feat, but organization is part of what makes the Mob Squad run so smoothly. Before every game, members hold Zoom calls to coordinate setup, food, and responsibilities, ensuring everyone plays a role in making the day flow. That balance between structure and fun keeps the experience enjoyable for both veterans and first-timers alike.

Beyond the parking lot, the Mob Squad is deeply invested in giving back to the Inglewood community. Each year, they host a toy drive to benefit local children during the holidays, with 100% of the proceeds from wristband and food sales going toward purchasing new toys. They also collect hygiene products for the House of Ruth, a local shelter that supports survivors of domestic violence. These charitable efforts have become a core part of the group’s identity—proof that their dedication to community goes far beyond the stadium gates.

As kickoff approaches, the tailgate winds down with efficiency and teamwork. The crew breaks down canopies, packs up gear, and heads toward SoFi to cheer on the Rams. But their tradition doesn’t end there. After the final whistle, many members regroup at the Pink Lot to relax, share leftovers, and unwind together as the stadium traffic clears—a fitting close to another day of football and fellowship.

In just a few short years, the Mob Squad has grown from one canopy and eight friends into a ten-spot powerhouse with custom canopies, feather flags, and a dedicated following. Their commitment to inclusivity, organization, and fan unity has made them a standout in the Rams’ tailgating community—and a model for what modern NFL tailgating can be. Win or lose, they carry the same philosophy: celebrate the experience, cherish the people, and keep the good times rolling.

Looking ahead, the Mob Squad plans to continue expanding while holding onto their grassroots spirit. Whether tailgating remains at SoFi or evolves elsewhere, one thing is certain—they’ll adapt, grow, and keep the tradition alive. As Tailgate Captain Christy Acosta put it best, “We are the Mob Squad, and everyone is welcome.” So if you find yourself in Inglewood on a Rams game day, follow the sound of the music, the laughter, and the chant echoing across Booster Club Row. You’ll find the Mob Squad there—ready with a plate, a drink, and a warm welcome to their Rams family.
