Member Bio:
The Suh Crew began tailgating before Detroit Lions games back in 2010. It began with two guys who decided to take a road trip to Chicago for the season opener; the game that featured the “infamous” Calvin Johnson no-catch. At the time, they had no idea what tailgating was all about; so they pulled into the parking lots near Soldier Field with a cooler full of beer, some chips,
some drinks and a dream. From that point on Dave and Sean were hooked,
and what began as a weekly event soon stretched across multiple seasons
as every home game became another tailgating excursion. With each year, the Suh Crew grew and as they grew, new equipment was necessary to support
an even greater demand. What started with a simple tent and a Margaritaville Grille eventually evolved into a flattop grill, double basket deep fryer, and their latest addition – the Suh Crewzer – the ultimate Detroit Lions tailgating
vehicle. The Suh Crew also grew from a modest number of ten people per
tailgate to 40+ every game. All are welcome as long as you’re friendly
and you like to share good food, great tailgating and a mutual love of
NFL football.
Finding the Suh Crew is easy, they’re located a short two block walk from Ford Field on Mechanic Street between Beauien and Brush. If using GPS/phone to find us, simply type in “432 Mechanic” as your destination. Once you’re on Mechanic, simply look for the Suh Crewzer and 15′ Honolulu Blue flag with our signature flashing blue beacon.
