Since 2006, Hans Steiniger has traveled to major pro sports venues across the country in an effort to understand how tailgating differs regionally as one moves from city to city.  Throughout this journey, numerous connections were made with local tailgating groups eager to share their experiences and open their grill pits to the many travelers that Quest for 31. Member Bio:
Pantherfanz is a Carolina Panthers Tailgating club formed in 1999 by the late, great Marc "Joker" Stanton and his close friend Dan Ortel. The group has grown from a few friends with a Weber grill and a dream into a game day party complete with a customized Pantherfanz school bus, a club quality sound system, multiple giant smoker grills, and the ability to host hundreds of fellow football fans in our shady lot just a short walk from the West side of BoFA stadium. Led by their ‘Head Coach’ and PFUFA member Dan Ortel, Pantherfanz has gained notoriety as being one of the best Tailgates in Charlotte, NC and has appeared on local and national TV, and been recognized by a host of independent websites as the place to be before the big game! Pantherfanz has gone International with a Canadian Pantherfanz chapter (Den #2) which was started in 2001. Pantherfanz regularly hosts visitors and fans from around the world. Pantherfanz has worked with many charity groups, including working with the Carolina Panthers in helping host our U.S. Veterans from the Wounded Warrior Project. We welcome you to join us in our quest to live life to the fullest and help provide the ultimate game day experience! GO Panthers!!

A full compliment of culinary delights including Pantherfanz Pulled Pork, Pantherfanz Red Zone Ribz, 12th Man Hot Wings, all beef hot dogs, Pantherfanz Pit Beans, Carolina Coleslaw 

Hall of Fame Credentials:
A friendly atmosphere with plenty of libations and great food can always be expected at every PantherFanz.net tailgate.  Anchored by the PantherFanz Party Prowler (tailgate bus) as a unique base of operations, these folks are easy to find on the southeast side of the stadium.  The southern hospitality of this group shines through at every gathering as both local fans and visitors are always welcome to take part in the intermingleing with colorful PantherFanz regulars.  Exceptional examples of that great, vinegar-infused traditional Carolina BBQ can always be found rotating over a hardwood fired spit or cooking on their massive BBQ pit trailor.
