2006, Hans Steiniger has traveled to major pro sports venues
across the country in an effort to understand how tailgating differs
regionally as one moves from city to city. Throughout this
journey, numerous
connections were made with local tailgating groups eager to share their
experiences and open their grill pits to the many travelers that Quest

A converted Blue Bird Bus anchors the tailgating efforts of this
tailgating group, helmed by frontman Tim Shanley, who was handed
the keys to da Bus in 2000. Timmy has missed six and only six
Chicago Bears home games since 1984, which is an incredible feat
considering that he moved to Austin, Texas prior to the 2008 season.
Timmy racks up nearly 16,000 frequent flyer miles every year in order to
throw da Bus tailgates and will
surpass 100,000 miles by the end of the 2013 season. In 20??, Da
Crew from Da Bus created
TailgatingforHunger.com, a charity that conbats
hunger across the Chicagoland area by grilling an 800lb full cow on a
state fo the art, custom rotating rotisserie during their tailgate.
Approximately 500 pounds of beef are donated each week as part of this
effort.
Typical Gameday Spread:
Our typical gameday spread consists of the following: an approximately
800 lb cow (grilled and donated to the hungry), 30 lbs pork loin
(sandwiches w/dijon mayo), 40 lbs beef roast (sandwiches w/giardiniera),
40 lbs "Bus Wings", 40 lbs boneless skinless chicken thigh (stir fry
with scallion), 20 lbs thin cut pork chops (sandwich w/grilled onions).

Over 40 players spanning 7 decades of Chicago Bears Football have boarded and signed this rolling tribute to the Chicago Bears. The doors to Da Bus are open to all fans across the NFL landscape which have included visitors from as far away as England and Japan! Da Bus and it's Crew serve up tantalizing tidbits of tailgating fare in an extremely
unique and exciting way that is guaranteed to entertain you. Expect live music and big crowds when you head out to Da Bus on gameday!
